Those adapters should be fine, the extra wire is if you want them to work in bi xenon. The wire has to be connected to a module inside the car and then coding. With out the wire connected you just have dip beam xenon. I got the bi xenon function working on my last car but not got round to it yet on my latest car.

The rain sensor saved me a lot of current draw. Mine had the rain monitoring option on for windows, so it was always checking to see if it was raining and had access to the module to close the windows even when locked.

Hi, it was just a like for like replacement of the broken indicator bulb holder.
Hi, I have the same issue. Did you use a t10 bulb holder? If you did can you please tell me which wires did you connect to the t10 holder? I have asked a garage for a quot

The mileage is just on 80k. Because it's so intermittent and random I haven't been able to actually get out of the car when it's doing it, to try and locate it. It always seems to be at traffic lights and never when I'm parking up. If it does it and I'm able to get a video I will.
Mk5 1.4 TSI 140hp Twin Blue Smoke
Last Poster: alexcjr in How to Guides / Troubleshooting on April 09, 2025, 05:54:59 pm
Hey Guys, about a week ago the car started having blueish smoke coming from the exhaust, also from the engine bay. It starts smoking after it reaches 90degrees engine temp.
I did VCDS scan, however no error codes show up.
Sometimes the car has misfires on cold starts. It usually happens every 2-3weeks, lasts about 5-8secs.

After my 1600 km to Croatia I had a good Shake down of my ED30😎#128526 Suspension wise everything is done now. Maybe a 10 - 20 mm drop for good looks but for driving on the road it is great!😍#128525 Brake wise I must admit that the brakepedal travel is more then before… so last week when I was there, I ordered a 25mm brake master cylinder to replace the 23mm unit. Hope to g

If I remember correctly, compression should be >gt175 psi for a new engine, and at 109 psi it'#039s time for a rebuild. Mine had some oil pressure issues earlier in its life but is still >gt155psi across all 4 cylinders. What you want to watch out for is significant differences in compression between the cylinders, such as one being more than 15 psi below the others.

Looks like this thread has not been updated in a gazillion years but I am also having this same issue now. Just for info my rail pressure is equal to the 6.5 bar low side pressure after being sat over night. This is in the UK so pretty cold ambient. I also have replaced all fuel injectors around 6 months ago for reference and still getting the stumbling start.

if the car is stationary and i flick the switch to on should the light come on the dash?
Depends on the year of the dash. My 06 jetta had the light on when I switched the cruise control to the on position while my 09 jetta only has the light come on when cruise control is a

That's good that you can wait for nice weather and go out and enjoy it. Plus hopefully you'll get many more years. It's nice you've had it so long, you don't have to think about what work may need doing and wether it had a hard life.

I was going to put an RCD 330 in with the wireless android and carplay dongle, but decided against it because apparently there are some fakes getting supplied. I then decided to get a JVC M785DBW . I haven'#039t had a chance to really get in to using it but my initial thoughts are positive. I still need to route the microphone properly and wire the live in properly. [url=htt

I had this exact problem on my Edition 30 last year when I bought it.
I did a number of things which sorted the issue and I'#039ve not had it since:
1. Remove the flow restrictor in the clutch bleeder block (on the front of the gearbox from front of engine bay). nbsp (It'#039s a little tiny piece of plastic with a hole in it) nbsp It is designed to slow down the clutch en
